+1 TO VALENTINES

I really don't know what I did before this sweet angel came to me :) It is amazing what a day set aside for love does to you. It's not just for those who have a special someone to bring them roses and chocolates (which I do not prefer.... more later.) It's a day that we get to realize how lucky we are to have so many people in our lives that love us. This year was a +1 for me:)

I put livi in heart jammies the night before. When I went in to get her Valentines morning, I was greeted with the biggest of smiles and a little giggle as I picked her up! She ate Banana's (her all time fav food so far) and played the day away with mom..... no house work or dishes or laundry.... just Livi time! We took pictures and played with toys. I can't even begin to describe the hold this little one has on my heart. Her smiles, when I do something so simple as look at her or walk in the room, are priceless. She ate a Valentines dinner with mom and dad. Stayed up in our arms and watched a movie and played in the popcorn with us. Well, She did the playing, We did the eating.

Livi.... please always know that you mean the world to Dad and I.

Josh, that boy is amazing! He knows just how to make me happy. Knows that little notes and reminders placed throughout the house for a week before BY FAR surpass flowers and chocolate. And red vines are the way to my heart! As he puts it, " you are my everything"

5 MONTH OLD LIVI

Ahhhh I cant believe how fast this little girl is growing up! 5 Months already!

She has made our lives so happy:)

She is getting quite the personality.... and I love it.

* Loves to be played with

* Loves to play with toys

* Has found her voice... she screams now but not because she is mad!

* Sleeps getting worse :) went from sleeping 8-12 hrs to wakes us up every 4!!!

* Smiles and laughs every time I come in at night like im going to get her up

* Will not stay on her back rolls over as soon as I set her down. She HATES her tummy too!!! haha thats what you get Livi

* Loves food. Banana's are her fav

* Sleeps better in a pack n play... weird I know.

4 MONTHS

So I already took her 4 month pictures... but her appointment was a few weeks late.

Funny story about going into the Dr. I have been so frustraited that Livi wont do her mini push-ups he said she should be doing by 2 months. So about 2 min before I put her in the car to go to her appointment, I tried putting her down one last time to see if she would do it. Low and behold..... she did! I was so excited! Pick her up and its to the doctor.
Back note.... she rolled over once from her back to belly and will never do it for me again.
Go in and do all of her check ups.... he askes us if she's rolled over yet or did her push ups. I confirm the new addition to the push-up and told him of her one turn wonder. He told us that was unusual that she would roll that way first seeing how it is much harder. He proceeds to put her on her belly. NOT TWO SECONDS LATER she rolls over! Josh and I just started laughing. He flips her back over.... and BAM she rolls back to her back:)
Im so excited to get her home and practice some more...... not once in 4 days has she rolled over again. WHAT? also she's getting less and less good at her push ups. ?. Ya I don't know. Maybe she's just a show off.....

Anywho.... Here is this little pills new stats.

We decided to feed this little girl some real food. Entertaining! So far I think she's really liking food. Shes had rice cereal, bananas, peaches, and oatmeal.

NEW TWIST ON AN OLD FAVORITE

Josh LOVES puff oven pancakes! So instead of making them in a pan and taking 45 min to cook. i decided to put them in muffin tins and cook for 15 min:) I made a berry sauce to put over it with agave in it.... but decided we like the sugary syrup the best.

K Stacie.... i'm updating this just for you:)

1 Cup flour
1 Cup milk
6 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup butter melted.... mixed in with the batter
1/2 tsp salt

Mix together.... do the eggs slowly so it doesn't temper. i used 1/4 measuring cup to fill the trays up with.... preheat oven to 400 and cook for 15 min or until slightly brown:)

i did a berry sauce but i think it would be better with just the reg syrup and powder suger. Maybe some sliced berries on top.

Josh was thrilled to get a phone call from his Dad telling him that he had found his old Pogo Stick!

it seems like all I have heard about this last little while since Madi received a pogo stick from santa, is Josh telling me about his mad Pogoing skills he has had since he was a lad. He even tried to break the Pogo record by going many times around his school.

When we got down there I made sure I had my camera on hand. I was so excited, I was going to capture what was going to be an inevitable fall, stuck forever as my screen saver on my computer.

Much to my dismay and the dismay of that little part of my mind that would have laughed uncontrollably when he fell, He did really good. Even started for the first time with no hands :(

although I didn't get a good laugh at a Josh laying on the floor, I laughed so hard at the smile on his face. PURE JOY!

Merry Christmas!
Oh wow did we have a good Christmas this year :) It was so much more fun having a little baby to share the magic with. I know she was not old enough to really care at all what was going on... but it was still fun.
This year we were with my family for the Holiday. We started off the night by getting together at my parents house to open presents from them and from each other. Of course they spoiled us way to much. Livi got the cutest doll from grandma and grandpa that had crocheted clothes.. SO CUTE! We then went over to janaes and had an old tradition of hogies... mmm mmm jess got jimmy johns bread and it was delicious! Of course there was traditional singing of christmas is upon us..... it was so much fun seeing everyone get into there actions and parts!

Christmas morning we planned on sleeping in, but we could hear emma and mason opening their presents and getting very excited about it at 5 am! We decided to go and wake livi up at about 5 30 and open all of ours!
This is where spoiled comes in.... I have always wanted a DSLR. Not only did he get me that, I got 7 lenses to go with it, photoshop, refectors, lens hoods, tripod, camera bags...... im sure there were more but there was so much to remember! I guess its safe to say i married the BEST guy in the whole wide world!
jess got one to:) so we went and took pictures of the guys flying chris's new cool kit.

Jessica and Chris were SOOO nice to come up and spend the day with us up here in lonely Parowan. We had so much fun dressing luke up in snow clothes and taking him out to play. We bundled Livi up and took her out too, only she fell asleep she was so comfy!

OUR FIRST THANKSGIVING AS A FAMILY!

I just cant believe how much more fun it was to have Olivia there this year. It feels strange during the holidays to have our very own family, strange but WONDERFUL!

This year we spent Thanksgiving with the Meachams :) I am the biggest food girl and stuck into tradition so it made me nervous to go somewhere else this year other than our family thanksgiving at my parents. I know what to expect.... i know what order i load my plate up with... and exactly what goes on it :) So this year I warily eyed the food that was being made over at his familys.

It was so good! Just like being at my familys! except they do this noodle soup that goes over potatoes with homemade noodles that are to die for! This is what makes me glad to have two familys! But of course the way to my heart has always been to make good food :)

We had so much fun over at the rogers. It was so nice to see all of Josh's family that weekend. Everyone was there to eat dinner but Jerem and Jess ( cough losers cough cough ) but they did come just shortly after :) after hanging out there for a little, we went and saw krystals new beautiful home. which one the way there livi let out her first laugh that has yet to be heard again :(

I cant believe this girl is 2 months old!!! She is getting to be so much fun. It still amazes me how much I love her. During the night I wake up and cant wait to go into her room and see her for a little bit :)

Still sleeps a ton during the day
Loves to wave her arms everywhere.
LOVES LOVES LOVES her numbers book that aunt karen gave her. she looked at it one night for an hr with me. We went and got the colors one because of it and she LOVES that one too.
LOVES bath time at night.
Likes to have her diaper changed.
Is a horrible pooper. once a weeker!
Is a super easy baby.
Loves to be held.
I dont talk to her at night when I feed her so she knows its night time. In the morning when I finally say "good morning!" to her, she gets THE biggest smile on her face like finally!
Loves to be held by her Dad.
Likes when Grandma holds her on her lap and does horsey horsey with her.
And has fancy new boots!

It seems as though this girl has Always been apart of our family. It just seems so natural to have her here. I already cant remember what it was like not having her. We have been so blessed that I am able to stay home with her and raise her. I love every second of it.

We went to her two month old check up. Of course I cried when she got her shots.... so did she. It was a heart breaking cry. I have never heard that one before. When I picked her up she just grabbed onto my shoulders and wouldn't let go for the life of her. so sad.

I LOVE her when she sleeps! She has to pull her hands up by her face in order to sleep. when we swaddle her at night, she'll be dead asleep and we will lay her in her crib. Then for the next 15 min you can hear her grunt and groan until her hands are free ( i call her houdini ) then she'll sleep for 5-6 hrs! I don't know why we still wrap her up... maybe it's just because it's funny to me:)

We Blessed Olivia on October 9th. We stayed with my parents and Blessed her in their ward. Josh did and amazing job and it made me so happy seeing him up there holding her and being able to give her the blessing. We had almost all of our family members there.... we missed you bree and stacie :) Of course my favorite part was getting her ready and putting her in a beautiful dress! After the blessing everyone helped put together a yummy dinner for us to celebrate:) Thanks everyone for helping, it meant a lot to me!

Man! do we have one sleepy baby on our hands. I would worry about it other than everywhere i look it says that this is completely normal and that I should just enjoy it! I'm guessing she sleeps anywhere from 18-20 hrs a day :O. Nights are great.

A sample of our day from yesterday morning to today...

woke up at 6:30 and stayed awake until 8:30

They say as long as she's sleeping at night dont wake her up. Its so hard to wake her up anyways i dont think i could if i tried!

TWO WEEK CHECK UP

I'm gonna keep track of her growth record... mostly just for us:)

When the Doctor came in to weigh her, He was explaning to me that by this point we want to have her near or at her birth weight which was 6 12
Put the naked baby on the scale and....... 7 lbs 13 oz!
With what she had lost after birth she gained a whopping 22 oz in two weeks! The Doctor just laughed out loud and said she was fine in the gaining weight department! I guess my mom was right when she said I have cream for milk!

Weight : 7 lbs 13oz ( 29%)
Height : 21 1/4 (79%) ( grown 2 inches )
Head : 14" (34%)

all in all it made me happy that I'm not starving my little girl. I am however already excited for when I can start to get her on a schedule. Sleeping and eating at normal times durning the day and night :)

SO MOMS AND DADS...

When did you start putting your little one on a schedule of sleeping and what not? Was there a certain book you liked? and if you feel so inclined to let me know how you did it I would LOVE to hear!

I could not have made it through without this woman. She is Amazing. I cried and cried when she left:)

Ahhh.... we are through the first two weeks! Having a baby is a little more stressful than I thought that it would be.

She is a wonderful baby! She sleeps all day long ( this still worries me, even though it shouldn't) wakes up 2 times a night and goes back to sleep pretty good, and eats like a champ! I think its just new mother syndrome, but I am terrified of her! so worried that i'm not doing the things that need to be done to take care of her, dont know whats normal and terrified that she will get colic.

But on the other hand. I love her so much. Love having her around. Love laying on my bed and talking to her. Love watching her grow and become more alert. My favorite is looking at her and seeing josh in her. How lucky am I to have a baby who looks just like the person I fell in LOVE with!? I still cant believe she is here.

Josh has been an AMAZING dad. He can put her to sleep when I cant. Is willing to do anything we need. and his diaper changing skills are getting so good! I'm so grateful to have him as my husband. He has been so kind to me while I deal with all the changes in hormones that she brought, changes with my body, and changes in becoming a full time mother. I love you Josh.

OLIVIA GRACE MEACHAM- 6 LBS 12 OZ

AHHH! She's here! And we couldn't love her more.

I was so worried that we were going to pass our due date because NOTHING was happening. On the 9th Josh and I decided that it wouldn't hurt if we drove up to Brian Head ( the very tippy top ) and then drive back down. Josh looked up on the internet that sometimes altitude can help. So up we went. When we got home I was a little disappointed that it didn't work. But I was having this bad pain in my lower abdomen that I thought was constipation :) I called my mom when it was getting to hurt pretty bad and ask her what to do about them. She politely told me that those where what we like to call contractions and told me to time them. They were about 4-5 min apart. for the rest of the night they ranged from 3-4 min. We decided to go in at about 12 pm and just see if I was changing. I was at a 3 1/2 and they decided to keep me. at about 3:30 they gave me an epidural. They decided to break my water when my Dr. decided to wake up. He came in at about 8 in the morning and broke it and told me she had had a bowl movement.

THEN they didn't check me for 3 hours! My family goes from a 5 to a 10 in about 30 min. Surprise... when they decided that they were going to finally pay some attention to me I was at a 10 and ready to push.

I LOVED my epidural but by the time it was time to push, I could feel everything. They kept telling me it was working and this was normal. Finally when I told them it was hurting pretty bad, they had someone come and look at my IV. It wasn't working!!!! since 8 that morning it wasn't working! So even though I felt most of it they got it going so it took the edge off of it.

After 10 min of pushing, Dr Heath came in and told me a couple of BIG pushes and she would be here. I was so surprised because the nurse said we would prob be pushing for an hr to 3 hrs. So I was SOOOO excited that it was almost over. She was born at 11:32 on 09/10/11

This little girl of mine must be really comfortable in there, She does not want to come out:( I went to the Dr. yesterday only to find out the same thing as the last few weeks. Only at a 1 still and only about 50% thinned. Kinda depressing. He told me he would strip my membranes but I'm gonna hold out until my next appointment because i was to scared it would hurt.

So next tuesday we start that :(

I'm just scared I'm gonna end up with this big ol baby that is not gonna fit coming out.

OLIVIA, I dont want to be pregnant ANYMORE! COME OUT!

You do realize by staying in there your cutting down the chances of you EVER having a sibling? Im not gonna want to do this again if you don't cooperate a little better.

(maybe if i threaten it will work better than the coddling josh is doing)

3 WEEKS

Bleah.... I still have 3 more weeks :) Mostly I'm just so excited for Olivia to come that this next 3 weeks is going to be going by so SLOW!

I can see how the last couple of weeks get to the point where you actually want to push a baby out ;) No more room inside, swollen feet and hands, cant get up by yourself very well with out a struggle. I asked Josh if this was amusing to him to watch this, He just smiled and gave a little laugh to himself. I would laugh at him if he was doing this!

If any of you feel the need to pray for an early baby.... we wouldn't mind!

Also, I'm back to my simple blog....... how I have missed you just white!

BABY OLIVIA'S ROOM

Well, the nursery is ALMOST done :) few things to do here and there but for the most part, its done! Josh has been AMAZING. He's worked so hard to have a nice room for the baby to come home to. Not to mention the "help" ( when I say help..... I mean we could not have finished it without them) we have gotten from Josh's Dad, My Dad, and Nick.

This is the birth announcement that my mother in law stitched for me..... its going to be hung on the wall above the chair. Josh stitched the owl when he was about 5... cute right!

I told you we got spoiled. Josh's grandma Stitched this blanket for her. I cant believe the time that was put into stitching these two. We love them thank you girls sooooo much!

Clothes and blankets! There are some really pretty handmade blankets and afghans in there that I cant wait to use and love her in!

more clothes:) ( you can never have to many ) and look at the cute diaper cake. I dont dare take it apart lol.

WORTH IT?

Josh and I went to Target the other night to look and see what kind of baby stuff were gonna need here in the next 5 1/2 weeks! This caught my attention and I really want it:) The bad part? Its about 250 for this little beauty!

My thinking is that we are not going to be having the baby in our room at all... its to small and we can barley walk around our bed with the space that we have. I LOVE the idea of being able to check on her without going into her room and risk waking her up. Making sure she falls asleep okay and see what she does after I leave the room when she gets old enough to move around.

I'm kinda nervous to have her in the other room from the beginning. Has anyone ever not had the newborn sleep in their room before?

Also.... would this just be dumb and a waste of money? Mom's.... Dad's..... anyone who's been around babies, what do you think?

4TH OF JULY

HAPPY 4Th of JULY!!! We haven't taken pictures in FOREVER, in fact I think this may be the first time since I've been prego that I busted out the camera other than to take belly pictures.

This weekend was great. Much needed. I took Friday off from work and did absolutely NOTHING. Josh's Parents came up that night and took us out to eat here in P- Town to a funny little mexican place that was actually pretty good:) It was fun to have them come up and spend some time with us! Not only did they come and provide us with some human interaction, they helped pretty much finish the nursery!!! Thanks Roger and Janel for coming up, we LOVED having you here:)

We stayed here until sunday night then headed down for the 4th. I LOVE the 4th of JUly! We ate and ate and ate, then ate some more! ( my doctor told me for the first time that I gained too much for the two weeks since I had been in last... oooopps :) )

JUST HAPPENINGS

No pictures today.

Only 6 more days until we go to our last ultra sound! I'm so excited to see her again. She is getting all of her fat on her body, so I'm so {excited} to see how she has changed from her last one:) Our doctor has been amazing. I'm so glad that we found one who was so nice and had a super high-tech office.

Not much has changed other than My belly keeps getting bigger, she kicks so much harder, and were running out of time to get things done. Ahhh 9 months seemed like such a long time at the beginning. We just kept putting things off because we had so much time left to get it done. We were sitting at Josh's parents house, when he realized we only have about 10 weeks left and her room is still bare. Oh wow, this week will be fun, i'm taking work off for 5 days so i'm hoping to get the bedding all made, her "closet" painted, and maybe.... just maybe.... talk Josh into going up to IKEA and getting her chair.

Ok... here is our other dilemma . I think were just going to get a really comfy arm chair for her room... not your classic rocking chair. My sister ( jessica ) said you spend so much time in there at night its better to have something thats really comfortable instead. Does anyone have any other input for a non rocking chair nursery?

I think my favorite thing about being pregnant ( which there are not a whole lot of good things that i like ) is feeling her move more inside. It makes me want to hold her so bad. I just can't picture what its actually going to be like with her here! 10 more weeks! ( everyone can put in a good word with the main man and let him know a couple of weeks early wouldn't bother us to bad ;) )

So, I have been taking pictures every week and ment to blog them... but it turns out my energy level went kapuhuie again. So here I am at 29 weeks. HOLY CRAP! We only have 11 weeks left. And I have a feeling that they are gonna be some long weeks for ME and JOSH :)

ALSO, if I'm this big now, whoowee I cant wait to see how my body is gonna stretch anymore.

And how is little baby Olivia doing? Kicking and moving and pushing and making me uncomfortable. Josh puts his hand on my belly? SILENCE! poor kid just wants to feel his baby and he has the calming effect on her. ( please please please let this keep working after she is born!) Ha ha last night he had his hand on my tummy while i was laying on my side

( i put my hand under the part i was laying on and moved my hand) He FREAKED out!!!

" KENSI!!! she feels like she's gonna come out!!, WOW that made my heart jump!"

(I... being rude did it again... hahahaha, i really am laughing just thinking about it!)

I'm still worried about somethings, like nightime...., finding something to do up here by myself without going insane. What if she has colic? But then I remember if it really is that bad, why would people ever have 2?! And of course, Josh is going to be a big help when he's here:D

There is something a little depressing about watching your body get bigger and realize not only is it suppose to be doing this.... but there is NOTHING I can do about it!

One thing I don't get though.... why does the butt have to grow along with it? My pants can not be fitting due just to the belly.. I mean, I'm carrying pretty high:)

OH well.... I'll just have to work my "butt" off after the baby!

Since I'm going to be away from you Mom on this weekend that we celebrate what amazing mothers we all have. I'm going to let EVERYONE know how great my Mom is:)

For those of you who dont know my Mom, let me tell you a little about her.

She is AMAZING, kind, funny, talented, BEAUTIFUL, caring, very organized, and giving.
She calls to ask how you are everyday. Comes all the way to parowan when you are sick to clean your house and make dinner:) Makes you feel like you are extremely important to her. Even though this is grandchild # 26 for her, she acts like it is her first and is so excited, which makes me feel strangely happy. Still lets me lay on her lap at night and cuddle with her. Leaves messages on your phone just telling you she missed you and hoped you where having a good day. ALWAYS calls on bad days and doesn't even know it!!! I have never met someone who is so willing to give you anything she can to help make you happy. Never lets anyone feel like she doesn't care.

I want to be JUST LIKE HER. Some days I even ask Josh how am I ever going to accomplish something so selfless;) When my house is dirty and I dont have the motivation to clean I pretend like I am my mom and then it gets done right away!!!!

I love you Mom. I can only hope that I will be 1/2 the mother you were to me. I can only hope that I can make Olivia feel as loved as you make me feel. That I can help make someones day better just because I really care about them and I show it. You truly are the most amazing woman:)

20 weeks

So I know I'm almost 22 weeks but "some how" the picture was deleted ( I'm still blaming josh) oh well i'll just miss that week:)

So I can defiantly feel Olivia moving:) She never did the light butterfly movements that everyone told me I would feel. Nope I was sitting on the couch (surprise) and bam.... she kicked her hardest and has ever since. I LOVE feeling her move around. I just sit and wonder what she's doing inside there. The best was seeing the look on Josh's face the first time he felt her! He just looked up at me with this little kid look of surprise, excitement, and a silly full tooth grin! Now, she stops moving the second he puts his hand on my belly haha..

HOLY HEARTBURN..... my goodness. Not once in my life before I was pregnant have I gotten heartburn, but since, whoo do I get it bad:) Thats actually what made me think I might be pregnant ( thanks lori!). Hopefully it goes away after.

Still lovin the fruit.... but also EVERYTHING else:)

I still get nauseous, but at least i feel like I can do most everything again.

Josh and his dad started the nursery this last Saturday... and I'm getting so excited!!!! Thanks Roger for all your help, we really loved having you come up for the day and help out!!

So Last night Josh and I {josh was mostly forced to do this} sat down and looked at baby bedding. I had planned on making it..... but it seemed much easier to just buy. NEVER go to Pottery Barn Kids if you dont want to fall in love with their stuff and buy it!

Ok, so it is REALLY hard taking a picture of your own belly withouth the help of someone or a mirror. I guess I could wait until josh comes home....

Anyways

This is my belly at 18 weeks (19 friday). There are times when i'm showing more than others... wierd? maybe i'm just to lazy to hold my belly in those times.

{update} evedently my belly looks bigger after working out. :)

Almost 1/2 way! i'm hoping miss olivia stays small and I dont get a rediculously huge belly. I just cant imagine trying to lose the weight after. I think out of everything that worries me (which is growing less and less each day) that is the one that kicks the bucket. Of course i'm gonna breast feed her to lose some of the pounds... but what if my body never looks the same (or close, i do realize i'm gonna be pushing a baby through my hips). So for now most of my snacks are healthy.

by the way dad. your bread from sunday (yesterday) is already gone:) it was yummy!

anyways on to much sader things.

My dear Jessica goes away for the summer on Friday. I'm so sad I wont be there to say goodbye. To make it 10 times harder, she is taking my lukie pukie away from me. The kid has gotten so cute and funny this last little bit, its going to be sad to have him growing up away from me for a whole 4 1/2 months.

Just remember Who your favorite aunt is LUKE!!! remember who's house you learned to crawl and took your first step at and who makes you laugh in the back of the car. I do realize no one can take grandma's spot and the making you laugh and all, but remember i do try! * please forget the fact that you were so heavy I always gave you back to momma!

And jessa, thanks for talking your husband into coming to see me for my shower!!!! please post WAY WAY WAY more than you do now so I dont get too homesick from him ( luke not chris).

Its too bad the part of being pregnant where you hate food is passing.... I'm gaining weight much more quickly now:) If only i had the energy to start exercising again we would be great!

It is so fun knowing what we are having. She is no longer being referred to as " baby " but by olivia. I have also found out, if i ask Josh to do something for me in the form of.... " Olivia is wanting".... lets say "a grapefruit, would you get one for her?".... he is sooooo happy to get something for her:) Shame on me i know, but it works soooo good!

I'm 17 weeks along ( friday to be 18) and i haven't felt her yet:( i'm so excited but the doctor said around 19 or 20 is about normal..

When did all you mothers first feel your little one move?

People are so amazing. We already have a big stacks of CUTE CUTE clothes for her:) dresses and pj's!!! sometimes I just lay them out and think about what she will look like in them:) i'm lame i already know.... no need to point it out in comments!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE going down to St. George and playing with all the new nieces and nephews. Bleah, This baby better come quick or Amberli is going to have to come steal her baby back from me;)

I should take a picture of my belly... but i cant seem to get out of my pj's today and look cute;) plus the room that we take the pictures in is a mess... so maybe next time!

ITS A BABY!!!!! Looks like there really is a reason i'm throwning up constantly.... and her name is

Olivia

We are so excited to know who is coming to join our little family. Looks like josh is going to remain the only boy in the house ( yes we count suki ). We went to this ultra sound place down in St George because we couldn't wait for our doctor to tell us in a month or so.

She was so not shy!!! She did keep her hands covering her face as we looked at her, almost like she was embarassed she was being so open and letting us see her! So we didn't get any really great shots of her face because of that. Needless to say..

We are in love!

Josh and I went straight to Old Navy and bought her a cute little dress and shoes. They will remain hung above our toilet until the puking stops to remind me how i'm so excited for this little girl!

3 MONTHS

I cant believe that i'm 3 months along already! Its getting to the point that i'm actually starting to get excited to be a Mom instead of being terrified of whats coming:)

Things that are happining so far....

I'm starting to get feeling better...( hopefully no more throwing up)

This week I have started to feel more energy than I have in a long time:)

I unbutton my pants now... not cause they dont fit... it just feels better.

Josh has been an AMAZING husband and so willing to take care of me.

We have seen our baby and heard the heart beat twice.

I think its a girl, her heart beat is fast. (higher on the chart of what it could be.)

Um.... i'm kinda gasey:)

I will be 14 weeks on Friday.

I have had a really hard time coming to terms with being pregnant. Josh and I wernt planning on starting our family until later this year. I know its not that much of a difference other than it got josh through a whole year of school with out having to get a job and provide for a family. So when we found out I just cried and cried. Josh was extreamly happy :) I knew i loved him! Then after that I started to get sick and developed a pretty crappy attitude about having a baby. My body was tired, I was sick of throwing up and everywhere I read it was about you will glow when your pregnant... blah blah blah. I did not feel pretty with my clothes getting tighter. I have

Gotten zits before and I was breaking out. WHAT THE CRAP.

Amazingly enough I was looking online and one of the " baby bump " celebs talked about how pregnancy wasnt a time about feeling sexy or pretty, it was a maternal time. A time us girls get to do something TRULY amazing. Our bodies are going to go to pots, but we need to focus on what were doing. :) Also, a few friends blogs helped too:)

Needless to say who would have thought it would have been a dumb celeb ( thank you jessica alba) who would have made me feel dumb for thinking so much about myself and what {I} was going through.

Now.... I cant stop thinking how excited I am to hold my sweet baby and get the chance to be the best mom that I can. Who would have thought that this chance would GET to come so soon for Josh and I.

We are so excited to have a little meacham come into our family:) I'm only 9 weeks along, but we are too excited to keep it in any longer. We have gotten so much help already from everyone and we're so grateful for everything everyone has done:) you make our life's easier!

OUR LIFE TOGETHER IN 2010

Well it seems to me the trend going on with blogging right now is telling fun things in 2010. Now i'm not ashamed of following the crowd. so heres our highlights and lowlights!

* It was our first whole year married
* Lived in the little house that we LOVED in St george.
* Got callings to be in the primary and elders quorum in our ward
* Josh got burned from doing his car projects pretty bad all over his stomach.
* I nursed him back to health.... awwww
* Got a new MAC computer for valentines.
* Josh went back to school this year full-time , leaving me as sole provider.
* Decided Dixie didn't have all the programs for engineering and made decision to go to school else where.
* Went to a car show in Logan and stayed with the Mathews... we love hanging out with family:)
* Josh got Lasik done on his eyes and no longer requires glasses!
* Moved out of our beloved little house and into chris and jessica's until the move to Parowan was made.
* Got a job up in cedar at the Zions bank up there.
* Moved in with the spiders
* had a blast living on our VERY own for the first time.
* although we had a blast, I got VERY homesick and made the trip weekly to spend time with family.
* sucked it up and learned to be on my own, with the help of a new puppy!!!
* Welcomed Sūki into our little family.!!!!!
* Welcomed New Nieces and Nephews into the family.

I know its not completely like everyone's seeing as how we have no kids to post about.... yet.

All in all..... we loved 2010 and are sorry to see it go. But, we also cant wait to see what 2011 will bring !!!!

Well, I'm finally doing it. Entering the world of 'blogging'. I figure i ought to take the momentous opportunity to tell everyone what a great wife I have. (I'm sure most of you know it), but she is the bestestest ever!

Things have been perdy busy for us up here in the 'P Town'. We seem to be running all over the place back and forth to cedar and down to st. george every now and again. We were way sad we weren't able to go down the last couple of weeks, but are looking forward to Christmas to see our family. (except for you 'brann' and Tyler) (sorry). Anyway, were super excited to see everyone and get out of town. I've been busy doing some more 'remodel' projects around the house as this week was my first week of semester break, and i can't sit still. By the way. GOT A "B" in my calc class...a really good thing, except that it means i just have to keep going on with my Math. Kensi shared in my enthusiasm.....but told me I couldn't talk about math for the rest of the break.

Our little dog Suki is doing well, except she likes to take off lately when i take her out to the bathroom...and has tried the 'I'll just bite your leg if you won't play with me' bit with Kensi. (I'm waiting to see if it works and might adopt the same method)

All in all, were doing good, enjoying life....and loving all of it.

Its been really fun getting to decorate this little house to feel like our home. If you'll notice the shelfs that i am super proud of:)
I found them on pottery barn.com and really wanted them and had asked josh if we could have them. They cost about $100 each and i wanted two of them. His reply.

Oh yeah.... we got the internet at our house today! after two trys of getting people up here to set us up we finally got it on the third try. Also our neighbors kicked us off there's so we were left with NOTHING :( for almost a month and a half.

I thought i was going to die without it. When they were supose to be here today i kept texting josh and asking how it was going. He finally gave me the good news it was up and running. now all i have wanted to do all day was come home and see how it worked.... lame i know... who dreams about coming home and blogging?

I cant believe Josh is already 25 years old!!! ( and with no kids...uhh hmmmn) This is a little late in comeing but i just wanted to list 25 things that I love about my hot husband.

1- he's hot ;)
2- i love how he still parts his hair everyday.
3- he wistles when he's happy
4- when he just shaves he comes and gives me a big soft kiss.
5- he loves living in "my world".
6- he drives like an old man
7- his eyes are the prettest eyes EVER
8- when he really laughs.... not just the fake laugh he gives me all the time :)
9- his smile can get me to do anything.
10- when he plays with our puppy.... its cute to hear his "high" voice.
11- he gets up in the middle of the night to take suki out to the bathroom (he'll make a good dad )
12- i LOVE cuddling up to him and wathcing a movie.
13- he's a randome snuggler at night and i love it.
14- he tells me he loves me at least 10-15 times a day.
15- he has a slack butt
16- he doesnt get mad when i spend money we dont have :D
17- doesnt leave the cleaning all up to the wife, in fact he's doing dishes now ( i still do my share)
18- he'll stop doing homework to come find me and make sure i'm doing ok.
19- he's such a hard worker... i love that i dont have a lazy husband.
20- its so nice to have a worthy priesthood holder in our home. i love him all the more for that.
21- he makes me feel at home. my life wouldnt be complete with out him.
22- he never thinks about himself, always wanting to do something for others.
23- he loves my family.
24- makes up songs to sing to me, and i love to hear him play his guitar.
25- he is the BEST husband in the whole wide world ( you can all try to take the title.... but its not gonna happen)

FALL IS OFFICALLY HERE {for us anyways}

I wait all year long for this time of year. There is nothing like the crisp weather on your cheeks, bundeling up in a sweater and going for a long walk, or seeing all the lovely trees turning amazing shades of all colors and falling around you.

THIS TIME OF YEAR MAKES ME SO HAPPY!

This is about the time of year I start dreaming of toffee from my mommy.... spending lOTS and LOTs of time with the family. Getting little kids dressed up with fabulous makeup to rock their costumes for Halloween.
and of course..... watching HOCUS POCUS!!!!!

Now I couldn't quite get josh to dress up with me {all right he gave me a flat out NO} but doesnt mean we still dont have fun. Here are some pictures of our little walk we took around parowan with suki and played kick ball in the park. afterwards we finished it up with some hot chocolate and pancakes from the Parowan Cafe!!!

SATURDAY NIGHT DINNER

This weekend Tyson and Lori asked if they could come up and see our place and spend sometime hanging out with us. Of course I gave a whole hearted YES! So they brought The orvins along and we made some HOBO dinners and had a lot of fun just hanging out in the back yard. The best was they brought layla up and suki had a cow! She would jump and snap at her and chase big ol layla off... poor layla she just wanted a new friend. Suki on the other hand made a great one. Emma would not put her down for the life of her and suki did not mind in the least being carried everywhere and being doeted on by a girl her size.

This sunday Nick and Megan Blessed there baby and we were not able to come down. We love you Nick and Megan and hope you know we wanted to be there so bad to share the special time with you. Give that cute baby of yours a kiss for us:*

We got a puppy!!!! Her name is Suki. We absolutly LOVE this little dog. she was 5 months old when we got her at the pet store. ( we were going to be getting a bran new puppy from this lady, but suki stole my heart when we went in there). At first we were kinda worried about her. we picked her up on saturday and stayed at my parents until sunday, during this time she would not eat or go to the bathroom, she wouldnt play like a normal puppy just sit on my lap and cuddle. Once we got home.... she ran and went to the bathroom and perked right up:) Amazingly she has potty trained herself... not once has she gone in the house:) we just love the new addition to our home.

I figure since josh has so much time he needs to study and do homework, that it leave me with many much time by myself. This benefits you who read my blog, or me who "trys" to use this to help remember what we do. The only things i ever wrote about in my journal were the boys who i was in LOVE with, my goodness i liked boys. So i would have to say my blogging has brought better results than my "POOH BEAR journal" ( i know jessa.. this is bringing back so many memories for you of sneaking into it). i even swore i would meat Justin timberlake and he would fall in love with me..... anywho moving on from my girlish ways and onto our recent happenings.

After not being able to stand being in this little house anymore I told josh he needed to get me out of the house this week... ( i was being nice Janel and letting him do homework :) ) i can hear the floor boards squeak as he gets up from the table... my eyes growing wide with excitement knowing he was going to be an amazing husband and take me out. He told me to get my shoes on we were going on a hike....kind of.

I guess there are some pretty cool petroglyphs about 10 minutes from our little house in the Parowan Gap. Its one of the largest amount of petroglyphs in the U.S. While we were there we met some crazy hippies there to watch the fall equanox:) Life is so much fun with josh. It was so nice getting out of the house and getting to spend one on one time with him. He makes me laugh and I love him.

BATHROOM REMODEL

Before we moved up here to Parowan Josh and His friend Enoch completely guttet the bathroom down to the studs and built it back up again. I must say, I had no idea that josh was so talented with the whole remodeling thing:) He did an amazing job. I picked the colors and decorated it, but it would not have been so cute without the talents of my WONDERFULL husband. He even managed to make it bigger!!

LABOR DAY

For Labor day this year we decided to stay up in Parowan and have the Meachams come to us!
It was so much fun. Josh's parents,Amberli and Brooks, and Mariah and Kyle all came up to watch the Parowan Parade and have some yummy food after. We got some pretty good candy from the parade too:) Sorry Amb... your the only one i didnt get a picture of at the parade (well kyle too but he didnt get up here in time for the parade:( )

CROQUET....

Indulge me for a moment as I take a little stroll down memorie lane.
Almost every sunday my family and I would play a little rousing game of Croquet.
Mother would get mad that this was not a sunday activity, thus causing us to turn it into scripture Croquet to appease the Lady.
The game would usually go something like this.

all start at the beginning equal in winningness.
Kensi and Nick pulling ahead and beign greatness.
jessica hitting or "scooting" the ball while no one was looking... or looking it didnt matter.
jessica "scooting" the ball through the hole.
Kensi or Nick getting posion and kicking everyones butts.

When i got home today. The usuall happened, josh did homework and i.... i looked at the wall. that is until josh got done and surprised me with a little worn down croquet set he found in the back shed. We walked up to Maverik and got some bubble gum suckers then started or game!

It was so much fun. Just like old times. Only no bree clear in the back and randomly up at the front with us winners( cheater ). Just like old times..... i KICKED josh's but. I won twice:)

So... I'm up here sitting in a dark hotel room trying my best to keep my noise level to a low level ( i know... hard right!) So I figured i would post a little about our journy today.

Our alarm went off around 6 this morning and we got up and packed a little suite case full of our stuff and headed up north for Josh to get lasik on his eyes. The drive was very eventful... i did crossword puzzles and sudoku that kept me entertained and Josh as well. Our butts and tummy's were hurting so we decided to stop off in provo to eat and look around in the mall until his 2 o clock appointment came around. Josh wanted a little KFC sandwich but i decided to wait until we got to PF CHANGS!!!! to eat lunch.. right as we were walking in to get me some food, the lasik place called and asked why we wernt at our 11 O clock appointment..... WHAT?!!!
needless to say we ran out the door with out food for Kensi :(

I was so nervous for josh i kept asking him if he was and telling him if he went blind i would still love him. (i know.... who says that when your about to go under the knife?.... ME... yup i'm dumb i know.) LOL i couldn't hold still in the office... i spilled peanuts all over the ground kept making lound noises with my chip bag i made josh go steal for me and kept asking him dumb questions. Josh says i dont get to come next time:):)

There were about three people there and all the wifes left during the procedure.... i stuck around to wait for my love(aaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwhhhhhh cute) so in turn they let me come stand by the door and watch the giant screen that showed a large picture of what they were going to be doing on his eye. It was cute at first... looking at his beautiful green eye large and happy.

IT was horrible... they took large metel clamps to his eye and held it open then took this little machine that cut a 1/2 circle around his eye and peeled the top layer back. I felt SICK inside looking at josh and knowing he was full awake and couldnt stop it. after they peeled the top layer they tood and dryed the eye ball (his colored part and the black circle part). imagine what a grape looks like when you peel the skin off...... YUCK.

10 min later he was done and wouldnt stop reading traffic sighns to me the whole way back.

This past week josh and I have been moving our little house... packing up and taking to a storage unit in Parawan. We have about one more load then were done. It was so sad to see our home empty..... no cute anything anywhere. We ended up at my parents house until we make the move this august. Now the only thing we have to get use to is the temperature change... we left our house at about 68 and moved into about 77..... holey crap its hot in this house:)

Roses shmoses...... why settle for that when your husband is willing to present you with this on the day of love?

I am sooo excited i dont think i can stand it much longer.

In preparation for our new member of the family to join us (yes i am excited enough to let it be called by such a loving term) we ( mostly josh) has refinished a cute desk for it to sit upon whilst it is here!. We are going down either Friday or Monday to pick up this beauty.

Why drive all the way down to las vegas you ask when we could just order it and save on gas? Well while we were honeymooning and passing through vegas, we stopped at a apple store just so i could gaze upon perfection for only a moment. As we walked out, A young couple walked ahead of us carrying this beautiful box of white. In it I knew it contained the all the desires of my heart.... i looked at josh and said " beautiful husband of mine, someday (hopefully soon) that will be us carrying that box of love out" He, being the wonderful and hot husband that he is said inreturn "as you wish".
That my dear friends and family is what we will be doing on the day the world turns pink and red. What will you be doing?

Yay! I finally made it to blog #100.... took me a couple of years though!

I know its lame that i dont post anymore. In my defense though, Josh (my husband!!) and I no longer have access to the internet on a daily basis. So we have to bum internet from my parents or his.
Also my cute laptop broke:( sniff..... my pretty white one.... the one that i loved. Hopefully i can send it in and have it fixed so it can once and lovingly again be used. So hopefully i can post more in the future.

But then again long time no time for myself! Wow this has been a crazy couple of weeks. Starting my my new job at Zions has been way different than I thought it would be. My imaginings went something like this

give cash out and take it in
go home and be not tired

NOPE!...... Way more complex than that! I love it though, its challenging and tiring but its good for me and i love the people i have worked with. I'm kinda nervous to start going to new branches next week... but oh well. I'm guessing everyone will be just as nice about me being new and having SO MANY questions. so far i have only sent to wrong tube out once... and deposited 700 into an account instead of 7.00... (kinda funny to have them tell you you put to much in!) other than that... i have come out balanced everynight... so i must be doing ok.

on my list for this weekend.

Get new shoes.... ones that wont kill my feet (they dont give us stools to sit on:( )

Josh and I have been having fun going out to dinner with a friend of his from his old work and his Wife. We are going to different restaurants other than your more common Applebees, Cafe Rio, Rickshaws type of food. Now mind you we have only tried two but looking at the two pictures and what I ate at the two is...... well... no other way to say it but AWESOME!
The taste? not so awesome:)

The these guys are pretty fun, they love food and make it seem like its going to taste so yummy! For example:

"oooohh.....they have the CHICKEN FEET!!!!"

Over all. Taste of Brazil was a yummy place to eat and make me weigh 10 pounds more!

I'm just letting everyone know that there is a free Zumba class at 9 am this saturday at vernan worthan park!
If you haven't heard of Zumba..... its like the best and most fun workout you can do. It combines latin dancing with fun music and it gets you moving! It about an hour long.... but the time will fly by because your having so much fun.

I had so much fun in Kirksville with BreeAnn and Tyler but of course having me come out means new hair cuts for all! We did a cute a-line on hallie and a short bob on Annie..... they were so cute. We did bree's hair too but she wouldnt let me take pictures of her. She got a new short do and more blone highlights that were so Amazingly Hot on her!( uh can i say hot about my sister????) Well she did look beautiful!

As for tyler.... the dude normaly does his own hair. Just takes clippers right to his head and goes at it until its all gone.

Ba ba da duh! No sirey.... I put a VERY fashionable .T. on the back of his head! I thought it was awesome... and so that means it was.... but come church time the coolness of the T was not so cool anymore... sniff... goodbye my work of art:(

This last week I flew out to Missouri to visit the Wonderful Warner Family! I left my house at 7am and got to BreeAnns house around 10.30 pm.ish..... Yes it was a VERY long trip:) But well worth it. I got to see Hallie and Annie and got to meet Barry for the first time!!! He is a cute baby... all you have to do is look at him and he smiles.

For those of you who have seen gilmore girls ( i love it!). You know that Rory loves her some pro/con lists.... My only problem is that I find a bunch of pros for both sides and not to many cons.
Topic for my list? I'm going crazy with my hair. I cant decided if i want to go short,stylish and hot again or if I want to stick it out and have super model flowy long gorgeous hair..(see why i have a hard time they both sound so good). My hair is stuck at the Yucky ugly boring non flowey or hot stage.
So I have decided to add to my pro/con list with your help! you tell me which you would like and i'll decided if thats a pro or a con ;)

i have included pictures for help to your lovley minds! Of course my short hair would not look like that again and my hair is not that long in the other one.... but it will help you get the idea~~

LANG FAMILY AND DISNEYLAND FUN!!!

This weekend I was able to go out and visit Stacie and her family in California! I loved being able to spend time with them. We had so much fun..... We went to Chucke Cheese with them last night and had a blast! I think we used over 200 tokens in about an hour and a half:) Katrina and Amanda just ran off to do thier thing... and lizzy was content riding the barney ride!!!! I got traped into the basketball games while Josh and Stacie tried to win the the game where you try and hit the button right as it goes over a certain spot all night.. and Steve loved the skee ball! After that we went back to Stacie's and ate way to much candy and popcorn while we watched Back to the future III ( and i mean way to much junk food....) Those girls loved Josh and entertained us the whole time we where there!

The day before that Josh and I went to DISNEYLAND!!!!! Can I just say that I LOVE that place! We had so much fun.... Josh even braved some rides that he did not want to go on for my sake..... aaawwww...cute!
Although.... the traffic was misserable on the way back:)

VALENTINES DAY

Look how pretty my flowers are! Even though they dont last very long, I think flowers are my favorite thing to receive! For Valentines Day this year Josh and I went to the Kayenta Art Show with Brooks, Amberli and Marshall to listen to someone play in a band. Then we headed down to Mesquite for dinner to avoid the crazy St. George Valentines Day rush. We all got Prime Rib and it was yummy...!!
Anyways just wanted to show off my pretty flowers..... Can I just say that Josh is the BEST!!!!!!

I loved reading Miki's. I doubt mine will be that good... but here it goes!
1- I only really do my hair on Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays! every other day is leftovers.
2- I love to do hair but I still get nervous before they come.
3- I hate drama... I try to avoid it and people that bring it... sometimes my life can be a little boring because of it.
4- I use..... (dot dot dot) way to much.
5- Unlike Miki, I HAVE to have my door locked when I go to sleep. I hate the thought of someone being able to walk in and look at me without me knowing it.
6- I get scared really easy
7- I love old classic movies
8- I sometimes wish i lived back then... wearing pretty dresses and having women be more feminine, they way they speak and not having a swear word thrown in when it makes nosense there anyways.
9- I feel like I have to prove myself to people. If I know someone doesnt like me, it makes me feel really bad. I act like it doesnt bother me at all.
10- Although i wish i lived back when women were more feminine, I dont take help very often:) a big box....? sure i can do it.
11- I cant wait to have my own family! People keep telling me to enjoy being single and to focus on my career... but I cant wait to have the best job in the world!
12- I love chocolate candy!I dont feel bad eating it either!
13- My siblings are my best friends... i would rather hang out with them and their families than anyone else.
14- I love to laugh and I love people who can laugh at nothing like i do! they are so much fun.
15- I hate when people dont call me back right away. I on the other hand... never have my phone and its dead 65% of the time.
16- I listen to people really well and I honestly care what they say.
17- I have a hard time opening up to people and telling them personal things about myself, unless I know they actually care and wont be judgmental.
18- I have a really strong testimony of the Church... and it's because of my parents.
19- I never cry in front of anyone... I dont like people to feel bad for me.
20- Disneyland is my favorite place.. it's so happy! I think that's why I like it so much.
21- I always thought I would get married before jessica.... I was sure of it :)
22- I miss being little... playing barbie's all day long and having cool forts and tall grassy fields to play in.
23- I can wait until I can go to the temple. How amazing will that be whan all the years that it has been my biggest goal to get there and realizing that i did it!
24- I am addicted to buying new clothes.. I can barely fit them all in my two closets and full size dresser. I only wear 1/2 of whats in there :(
25- I love knowing that people love me! It makes me feel so good!

This weekend miki invited Josh and I up to sleepover at her condo with a bunch of people. We had so much fun! We played the classic game of signs for a couple of hours, went hot tubing, watched a pretty good movie that is not out in theatres yet (Taken)(it was pretty good!) and finaly passed out around 3 AM:) Here are some pictures for your eyes to enjoy.

I love Sally! We decided to not be boring and stay in the hot tub. We found ourselves out in the snow with only our swim clothing on (not even a swim skirt.... aahhh) first we took a towel out and stood on it and took a picture so we would "seem" cool. When we got back inside and in the warm water we said "that was lame...... lets go lay in the snow and take a picture." i know what your thinking......WHY? We got out there and layed down....... i have never been so cold. My back and legs stung from the cold, and whats worse... it sticks to you when you get up so the cold didnt go away till we jumped into the sauna ...spelling?

PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

For Christmas this year Josh got me tickets to see The Phantom Of The Opera!!! The seats were great, 4th row. The actors would come and stand right in front of us or right on the side so we could see them PERFECT. In the beginning the chandelier was sitting on the stage and it was amazing when it came together. The singers voices were incredible..... I cant imagine being able to sing that well. I think the thing that was most amazing about the show was all the special affects and the way they used the props... The Phantom would show up in the middle of the show hanging out of the middle of the chandelier with one hand and swing around.. real fireworks going off in the middle of the show.. and the masquerade scene was pretty sweet as well! If anyone has a chance I would very highly recommend this show.

I cant believe how much I have learned about the camera this last semister! I did find however, that I am more partial to the digital SLR rather than your film SLR. I was just playing around editing some of the pictures I took and thought this one of Gage was cute. Janae is going to let me test my skills out on her darling girls this week to see if I really learned anything in that class... so maybe i'll do a little better at posting and show you the pictures when i am done. by the way...... sorry about my lame posting abilities...... i have no other excuse but that i have a SUPER boring life and theres not much to post about!

Mom.... as sad as I am that your not here so I can come and jump on your bed this morning and tell you HAPPY BIRTHDAY!, I still wanted to tell you that I hope you have a great day and that your the best Mother and best friend any person could EVER hope for. Hope today is filled with lots of special fun!!!!

Here is a list of my top favorite times and things I have of my mom: ( no particular order)
* Going down to Las Vegas market and going shopping and getting make-up done..... and of course PF Changs!
* When you laugh, it makes everyone happy
* Giving ourself facials and watching transformers
* When you come and get ready with me in my bathroom
* You sing me a special song with my name in it.... and strangely enough it makes me feel good!
* Your Georgeous... I am glad that I look like you :)
* You make everyone of your children think they are your favorite ( I KNOW I really am)
* You are the BEST grandma, all of those kids adore you.
* I love hanging out with you and having girls nights... or even at the store when its slow and we get to talk.
* I want to be JUST LIKE YOU!
